After completing the first and tenth holes, you will find yourself walking through Bosch Hoek's beautiful forest. The second tee is positioned to the far left, partially surrounded by a small dam, while the ladies' tee offers a straighter approach slightly to the right. The second and eleventh are respectively the two highest stroke holes on the course. Despite this, both deserve the utmost respect, as a wayward tee shot can leave a tricky approach into a well-guarded green. Playing only 250 metres, longer hitters can certainly reach the green with their tee shot. The green itself is relatively small and favours a high, lofted approach to ensure the ball holds the putting surface.
Pro Insight:
The easier approach on this hole is to play a fairway wood or long iron up the middle to right half of the fairway, leaving yourself a fuller second shot into the green. Ideally, your approach should leave you with around 40 to 50 metres in. Using a lofted wedge, play a high shot toward the back half of the green, allowing the ball to land softly on the putting surface and perhaps even generate a little spin toward the hole.
