Surrounded by farmland and stunning views of indigenous forest, the fourth and thirteenth tees are located on one of the furthest points of the golf course. Played from an elevated tee, the drive requires precision as the landing area is narrow, with a lateral water hazard running down the left-hand side. A driver is certainly the club of choice here, as it allows you the opportunity to carry much of the danger both left and right. Finding the fairway is no simple task, but once achieved, you are left with an approach of approximately 130 to 150 metres. Depending on the wind, it can play even longer. The second shot can be deceptive on first play, as the partially hidden green often appears much closer than it really is.

Pro Insight:

The fourth and thirteenth are undoubtedly some of my favourite holes on the course. Even if the hole gets the better of you, the views alone make the walk worthwhile. For the longer hitter, favour the left half of the fairway and use the contours to gain a favourable bounce toward the green. For shorter hitters, the safest option is the heart of the fairway, favouring the right-hand side if possible. The second shot is vitally important and often encourages players to under-club. My advice is simple: take one extra club. If you are deciding between a 7-iron and a 6-iron, take the 6. The greens on these holes also tend to be among the quickest on the course. If you are faced with a long putt from front to back, focus on leaving yourself a comfortable second putt rather than chasing the hole aggressively.
