The People Behind Bosch Hoek

Andrew Clark
C.E.O.
Andrew's connection to Bosch Hoek began in 2002 when his father purchased House 23 on the estate. What started as a family getaway soon became a lifelong dream, one that came true when Andrew purchased Bosch Hoek Farm in 2006 and later stepped into the role of C.E.O. in 2016. Before Bosch Hoek, Andrew spent 13 years with Grindrod Shipping, working across international trade routes throughout Africa, the Middle East, South America, and the Far East. While the corporate world kept him busy, his heart was always drawn back to the Midlands and the life he hoped to build at Bosch Hoek. Today, Andrew enjoys balancing life on the farm with supporting the golf and lodge operations. He takes pride in watching the Bosch Hoek team continue to grow, alongside his much-loved Ankole and Nguni herd. For Andrew, Bosch Hoek is far more than a business, it is a home, a working farm, and the place where his three children have been able to grow up enjoying the outdoors and country life he always dreamed of sharing with them.

Kesley Hansen
Golf Course Superintendent
Kes's connection to Bosch Hoek began in 1995 when he first played the course and immediately fell in love with its beauty and surroundings. From that moment, he knew this was where he wanted to be. His career in golf course maintenance started at Cato Ridge Country Club before taking him to Champagne Sports Resort, the UK's renowned Wentworth Club, and later Copperleaf Golf Estate, where he helped develop the course and facilities. In 2014, he returned home to Bosch Hoek. Known affectionately as "Keshnie," he brings passion, personality, and a constant drive to improve the course each day. For Kes, Bosch Hoek has a charm and atmosphere that's hard to describe, and it's that love for the place and its people that continues to inspire him every morning.

Rory Drysdale
Finance
Rory joined Bosch Hoek in May 2012 after spending many years working as a teacher before retiring, briefly. After three months of retirement, he realised he needed something to keep his mind active, and fortunately Bosch Hoek happened to need an accountant at exactly the right time. An avid birder, Rory particularly enjoys the drive into Bosch Hoek each morning, where sightings of wildlife often become the highlight of the day.
