Local Rules

Preferred Lies
A ball lying on the fairway having been marked may without penalty, be lifted, cleaned and dropped within one (1) club length of where it originally lay, but not nearer the hole. After the ball has been so dropped, it is in play.

“Suckers”
A ball resting in its own pitch mark through the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty.

Out of Bounds
When playing the 9th and 18th holes, the Clubhouse and verandah area across the canal water hazard and any other area marked with white stakes is deemed Out of Bounds.

Drop Zones
Marked drop zones may be used on the 5th, 6th, 14th and 15th holes.

Flower Bed on the 2nd / 11th Hole
A ball seen to land in the circular flower bed to the left of the 2nd / 11 hole may not be retrieved; instead the player may drop a ball in the dropping zone without penalty.

Trees & Shrubs
A ball lying within one (1) club length of a staked tree or shrub under two (2) metres high, must be lifted and dropped no nearer the hole without penalty.

Immovable Obstructions – Rule 21(2)
Anything artificial including the artificial surfaces and sides of roads and paths, hazard stakes, stone walls, golf course furniture, bridges and shelters.

Order of Play
Complete the first nine holes before playing holes ten through eighteen.
